About Larchmont Blvd.

Larchmont Boulevard is the charming commercial center of Hancock Park. Developed in the early 1920's, Larchmont Boulevard is overflowing with many, many delightful shops giving Hancock Park its unique small town flavor. Trendy clothing shops offering very special, often one of a kind items, for women and children particularly. Antique shops, stores featuring home accessories and painted furniture, gift shops, card shops, an eyewear shop, shoe stores, a wonderful book store, a terrific hardware store and Landis General Store.

Alfresco Dining is the rage on Larchmont. With more restaurants featuring outdoor dining than probably anywhere else in the city, Larchmont Boulevard has become one of the most popular places in town. The Boulevard is hopping at Lunch when "industry" people from neighboring studios flock to the outdoor cafes. Celebrity sightings are commonplace. Sunday Brunch is very popular with the Hancock Park set as is evening gourmet dining, often lit by flickering candlelight and warmed by outdoor heaters. French, Italian, Greek, Thai, and Caribbean and variations of these offer plenty of choices. Coffee drinking is also a very popular pastime on Larchmont. There of course is a Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and a soon to open Peet's Coffee.

Special Events on Larchmont are held throughout the year. One of the biggest events is an annual Larchmont Boulevard Association Family Fair each fall with a Children's Costume Contest and a Petting Zoo. A Holiday Open House with Sunday shopping hours and refreshments up and down the boulevard make Larchmont a jolly place to do holiday shopping.
